Two men who are in formation for the Permanent Diaconate received the Ministry of Acolyte as Bishop Alan Hopes celebrated Mass with the College of Deacons on Saturday October 5 at St John’s Cathedral in Norwich.

MONTH OF THE HOLY SOULS

During November we pray for all the faithful departed,

remembering especially our deceased family and friends.

Lists for names can be found on the table near Our Lady and handed in to the sacristy or office. The names will be kept near the altar throughout the month.

PRAYER OF ST. GERTRUDE FOR SOULS IN PURGATORY

Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the masses said throughout the world today, for all the holy souls in purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal church, those in my own home and within my family. Amen.

REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY -10^th November

At 11am there will be a short Act of Remembrance & laying of the wreath, followed by a Requiem Mass for all those killed in warfare.

CHURCH CLEANING

SAFEGUARDING

Parents/carers must supervise children at all times.

Children should not be sent to the toilet unaccompanied.

CHILDREN’S LITURGY

Sorry but at present due to overcrowding we must restrict

Children’s Liturgy to those who are at school. Only DBS-checked Catechists should accompany the Children. Parents must stay in church. If anyone would be interested in training to lead a group for the younger Children please contact the Parish office.

LUKES LITTLE LAMBS

Stay and play group for all preschool children and babies with parents & carers. Thursday 1-2.30pm.

BLESSING OF GRAVES

Takes place at 2pm on Sunday 10^th November at Fletton

Cemetery.

DEANERY MASS FOR DECEASED CLERGY & RELIGIOUS

Friday 15^th November 12.30pm in St Peter & All Soul's, Mass will be offered for our deceased clergy & religious, where you are all invited to pray for the repose of their souls.

MASS IN SLOVAK

With Fr Tibor 3pm Saturday 16^th Nov at St. Luke's.

BARBARA LOOBY R.I.P.

Barbara's funeral will probably be on Tuesday 19^th November at 11am in St. Luke's. Final confirmation will hopefully come shortly.

CHRISTMAS FAIR

Saturday 30 November, 12-2.30pm.

Donations by Friday 29^th November – we need: toys, games and jigsaw puzzle; bottles (wine, spirits, pop); bottle bags; gift tombola (chocolates, toiletries, unwanted gifts); bric a brac items; cakes for the cake stall. Raffle tickets on sale £2/book. If you would like to volunteer speak to Jo Tyrell or contact or Parish office.

With Jeremy, our new Director of Music, the Adult Choir is now looking to increase its role and membership. Rehearsals are on Sunday mornings from 10:30am.
