Come to the Wedding Feast!

A wedding-garment is a standard Jewish image for works of generosity expected of every faithful Jew. For us Christians, we are expected similar works of generosity! For our God is a generous God… He invites the good and the bad to his table… surely many are called but few are chosen… the chosen ones are those who practice similar generosity of the God who has opened the heavenly banquet for us all.

May our preparation for the royal wedding feast be of the practice of the virtue of generosity… not just to those who are good to us but also to those whom we find difficult to love. May our hearts be stretched and our souls be fed at the table of the Lord.

Let us make preparations and let us come to the wedding feast for we are all invited.
